USS Hopewell DD-681 Reunion 2010 BIGGER and BETTER in Nashville, TN

Reunion plans and events are running straight and true. More registrations are coming in now at a more rapid pace. For that, I thank you.
I just wanted to pass along a few reminders for your information.

1. Please make hotel reservations now. Also, if you need a refrigerator in your room (for medical reasons) tell the hotel. There are also smoking rooms available if you desire. The hotel is pet friendly with a $25 non-refundable deposit. That is normally $49.

2. I also want to assure you that if you register for the reunion now and something comes up that changes your plans, you will be refunded your registration fees. We just want to see you.

3. RV parking at the hotel is free if you have a reservation. You just can't live in the RV while at the hotel.

The floods here in Nashville has not effected us to much. The hotel had NO damage, the Wild Horse Saloon is expected to reopen this week and the Opry should be reopened by the time the reunion starts. If the Opry is not open it will be held at the Ryman Auditorium where it was held for 25 years. Everything else is fine so you don't have to worry.

So I ask each of you that are planning to attend the reunion to make your hotel reservations and send in your Reunion Registrations and Menu selections now. Please send one Banquet Menu for each person attending.

I also would like to say that Nashville, is a very sophisticated and historical city. But most of all, it is a fun city. Casual attire is the "uniform of the day". Coat and ties are not required for any venue's. Our Banquet on Saturday night is also casual. You, obviously, may wear anything you desire but, again, coat and ties are not required.

With all that said, our reunion team is looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. We all want to enjoy each other again and have fun so get your reservations and registration forms in as soon as you can.
